i dont know why my words are underlined.

last nites dream

conversation with tim burton about his new movie.

me: "i think its perfect"

tim: "...how often do you think you could say that about movies you see?

me: "i donno, maybe every few months...but i watch a lot of movies, i have netflix"

he seemed dissapointed with my response..as if months should be years.

tim: "well most people dont watch that many movies"

hmmmm

i dont write any blogs anymore.  the end.

winter times

I was going through all my old black and white photos on flickr and found this from last winter (and I'm not even sure this was actually taken last winter, it could have been from a couple of yrs ago)

Something about this makes me very very happy and proud of what I am doing creatively. Photography is the only thing I've stuck with and this picture was taken in a place that I keep coming back to, just like so many other places I continue to photograph. Lately I've thought that I should stop going to all of the places that I've taken a billion photos at because it seems so redundant, but in some ways, it makes sense to just keep going.....

ok......

i've just made the strangest online purchase (xmas present).

ants.

WTF

what is this country coming to?!!?!

Top 10 Reasons Gay Marriage is UnAmerican

I found this list on BW.org there was no attribution as he found it somewhere else. I thought it was very pertinent to this site and concisely addresses the most common arguments against gay marriage in a very funny way.

  1. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
  2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
  3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
  4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
  5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
  6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.
  7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
  8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.
  9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
  10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

pee and febreeze

so i completely forgot how much a pain in the ass puppies are! haha. i got a 4 month old yorkshire terrier who is adorable but a complete handful. i figured it would be easy since i work at home and could take her out every hour...no. she waits till we get back inside to pee ... so i try to sit down for a sec and then bring her back out again (doesnt work).. at least she usually pees on the pads i put down. i've had her since saturday and she's peed outside once..at the park. now i understand what my parents always said about puppies when i wanted one as a kid.

anyways i gotta get a crate/cage for her today cos i read that's the best way to housebreak a dog...plus she needs her own space and me too. she's been sleeping in my bed and she really likes to bite/chew on me/everything. plus she's getting groomed today too...she looks like a wookie. and tomorrow is the vet.

she's an awesome dog though, really spunky and intelligent...just very stubborn. and tiny! she weighs almost 4lbs. i like having a dog again...though she sorta makes me miss my old doggie too...something about that bond that we had with her.
