winter times

I was going through all my old black and white photos on flickr and found this from last winter (and I'm not even sure this was actually taken last winter, it could have been from a couple of yrs ago)

Something about this makes me very very happy and proud of what I am doing creatively. Photography is the only thing I've stuck with and this picture was taken in a place that I keep coming back to, just like so many other places I continue to photograph. Lately I've thought that I should stop going to all of the places that I've taken a billion photos at because it seems so redundant, but in some ways, it makes sense to just keep going.....

Gawwwd Vanessa, your talent floors me!  I hope you always stick with it.  And I was serious about buying a photo book, if you make one with your fave prints to sell from Lulu.  I hope you do.  And call it Wicked Cool.

You have to keep taking pictures, because you're making people's lives better, and doing something you enjoy, and you can't really put a price on that.

That pic you posted in this blog is far better than any of those $100 pictures you could buy in Target

P.S., there's a ton of wicked awesome places to take pics up in my area, I'll draw you a map.

I had to come back and comment this again!! (was getting late when I did last night).  It reminds me of the yin/yang symbol...I'm loving how the trees and the mist provide that balance, with the white sky and the black branches finishing it off.  You really do have an excellent eye for these things.  And when not if you visit, the Olympics are an hour away from me.  Not sure if you went there when you used to live here when you were little, but they are so photographable.
